National Green Website ‘GreenFinder’ Launched

As one forecast shows that sales of organic food and drink will reach 2 billion by 2010, and another survey shows that two-thirds of youngsters think it is important that the company they work for in the future is environmentally friendly, it’s timely for the launch of a new ‘one stop shop’ website for all things green and ethical.
is unique in its approach as it champions small businesses, community projects and local council initiatives that promote green living.

One of the aims of the website is to enable the public to access information and advice on being green and living a sustainable lifestyle. It will also provide a nationwide directory which lists environmentally friendly businesses, organisations, services and products. Information as diverse as where to buy organic baby products to finding information about recycled products can be found on the site. GreenFinder will also include the latest green news stories and include details of local and national green events.

Website founder Kate Haines is urging the public to make 2007 a green year by making a New Year resolution that will help the environment. “Simple things like switching to a renewable energy supplier, buying local food or refusing to buy over-packaged goods are just a few ways people can make a difference. It may only seem like a small step but collectively we can all make a positive impact on reducing climate change and improving the environment for future generations.”
