Skoda’s New Fabia Now On Sale

Skoda’s New Fabia Now On Sale

We’ve already tested it and the verdict is good – now you can buy it; the new Skoda Fabia is available from the 17th May.

In total there are seven engines; the 1.4-litre TDI PD (80bhp) model produces just 120g/km of CO2.

Prices start at £7,990 for the 1.2-litre Fabia 1 model, with group 1 insurance, and range up to £13,015 for the 105bhp 1.9-litre TDI PD Fabia 3 (with group 4 insurance).

Trim levels are simply called 1, 2 and 3. The Fabia 1 gets dual front and side airbags, ABS, central locking, electric front windows and an immobiliser as standard.

The world premiere of the new Skoda Fabia took place at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2007.  Estate versions of the new car are due to come to Britain in early 2008. Until then production of the current estate will continue.

More than 1.5 million Fabias have been built since the launch of the first generation model in 2000, with over 130,000 finding homes with UK buyers.

Skoda has just come joint second overall in the 2007 JD Power Customer Satisfaction Survey, and the company came top in the 2006 Top Gear Customer Satisfaction Survey.
