Peugeot Showcases New Hybrid Concept Car At The Paris Motor Show

Peugeot will reveal a hybrid concept car at the Paris Motor Show. The company says it is called the ‘RC…’, and will announce the full name at the show, presumably because they haven’t decided what it’s called yet.

And whereas the company’s 308 RC Z Concept Car bears a rather distinct resemblance to the Audi TT, the ‘RC-something’ definitely has shades of Audi R8 in its design.

Peugeot claims that the car will have CO2 emissions of just 109 g/km in the combined cycle – or zero emissions in electric mode. These figures are despite its 313 bhp engine promising high levels of performance.

Peugeot says this four door, four seat car is a ‘GT’ coupé which provides the missing link between the RC and concept cars revealed in 2002 and the 908 RC, one of the stars of the 2006 Paris Motor Show. The company continues: “It’s a working laboratory of many future ideas and brings together numerous stylistic, engineering and technological ideas all in a single vehicle.”
