A new small car is on its way from Chevrolet, and it actually looks quite funky. It was known as the Beat at last year’s British Motor Show, now it’s changed its name to the Spark.
It was unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show but strangely only in picture format – it will debut in this latest incarnation at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year. The Spark will be available in North America, presumably in an effort to convince us all that GM is finally manufacturing more fuel-efficient cars for America.
Developed largely in Europe, the five door Spark will go into production in Korea in the final quarter of 2009, with European sales – including the UK – starting early in 2010. It will go on sale in the USA the following year.
