The Italian-manufactured electric Tazzari ZERO car will soon be available in the UK. With its lithium-ion batteries, the ZERO promises a top speed of 56 mph and a range of up to 88 miles.
It will recharge from the mains in around 9 hours with the standard battery charger, 6 hours with the optional multifast battery charger, or 80% in 50 minutes with the super-fast battery charger from a 3-phase power supply (also optional).
The Tazzari ZERO has an aluminium body, a removable sunroof, ‘eco’-leather seats, stereo radio with MP3 and CD player, 15″ custom coloured wheels and disc brakes all-round.
Based in Modena in Italy, the home of Ferrari, the Tazzari Group plans to introduce the ZERO in December 2009 at the Bologna International Motor Show. It will be on sale in the UK immediately afterwards, through evstores.
The price is expected to be around £18,000, but this should be reduced when the government rebate of up to £5000 becomes available (planned for 2011).
