Independent, Expert EV Reviews & Advice Since 2006

Season’s Greetings from would like to wish all of our visitors a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and also to wish everyone safe driving in the festive snow and ice.

Appropriately, our first road test of 2010 will be the new BMW X1, which sets out to prove that you can have a car that offers traction and safety in slippery conditions, whilst also having lower emissions than many two-wheel drive cars.

Many people across the UK will currently be wishing they had the grip that four-wheel drive offers, and as with any class of car, there are 4x4s that are best-in-class for emissions, and 4x4s that are a long way from being best-in-class. To discover the class-leaders in ten different categories of cars, download our
Green Car Guide
for free.

And check back in January to see if the BMW X1 succeeds in combining grip, economy and driving enjoyment, whilst also being a family car.

However some big news will preceed this road test report. During the first week in January we will be announcing the winner of our
Greenest Manufacturer of the Year Award
. The judging panel has now met and there were interesting discussions about which manufacturer should win. Check back in the first week in January to see the result, or subscribe for free to our eNewsletter to ensure you don’t miss out on this or any other latest green car news.

As if that wasn’t enough, there will be another big news announcement the following week, combined with a unique new feature on the site that you will just have to test out.

This is in addition to the main focus of what our site is all about – offering you a user-friendly way to keep up to date with the latest and most important green car news and reviews.

So we’re back to start a very exciting year on Monday 4 January; in the meantime, have fun while the snow lasts – especially if you have a green 4×4.
