The stylish MINI Concept Rocketman city car will be on show again, this time at the Shanghai Motor Show that takes place from 23rd to 28th April 2011.
The 3+1-seater, 3-door, 3-metre-long MINI Rocketman Concept, which promises driving fun and great fuel economy, will be making its debut in Asia.
The Rocketman Concept can seat three people, with an extra seat for a fourth for small people on short trips.
Sidesills integrated into the doors help to make entry and exit easy. The two-part tailgate consists of one section which is attached to the roof, and a lower section which extends out of the body in the form of a drawer.
The Rocketman Concept has a lightweight carbon spaceframe construction, with surface structure visible from the outside both on the radiator grille and in the interior.
In terms of MINIs that are available today in China, there’s a choice of ten different models. These include the MINI Cooper Countryman and the MINI Cooper Countryman S, the MINI Convertible, and the MINI and the MINI Clubman are available with three engine variants – MINI One, MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S.
