The new Renault Twingo is now on sale in the UK, and powered by the 1.2 16V 75 engine, returns 55.4 mpg with 119 g/km CO
emissions, resulting in zero road fund licence for the first year.
The new Twingo, with new styling, costs £10,350 in Dynamique 1.2 16V 75 guise.
All New Twingos are eligible for the Renault 4+ programme, worth £900, which launches on 1 February 2012. The package offers all retail customers a comprehensive four-year/100,000 mile warranty, free routine servicing for four years/48,000 miles, four years roadside cover and up to four years finance (lease or PCP, subject to status).
Unique in its class, the new Twingo comes with cruise control and a speed limiter as standard. Ideal around town and especially in speed camera-monitored roadworks, the speed limiter will not allow the car to exceed a pre-selected speed, whilst on a longer run, cruise control will maintain a selected speed.
The Twingo is available with a wide range of options including climate control, electric panoramic sunroof (with an electrically operated fabric version available from April), two Option Packs and long list of exterior customisation accessories such as Renaultsport rear spoiler, and a series of decals.
The audio system in New Twingo is also new and improved with Bluetooth functionality, together with audio streaming with USB connectivity as standard (from March). This makes it easy to play digital music and the audio system can also be used as a docking station for the latest-generation iPhone and iPod TouchŽ.
An iPod-compatible radio is also available as an accessory for £235. This special audio system equally enables the use of GPS navigation through an app developed by Renault, which can also analyse the driver’s eco-performance in real time. By providing tips to keep fuel consumption down, the system helps save up to 10 per cent fuel in a practical way.
