The revised SEAT Ibiza has been revealed, including the Ibiza E Ecomotive with emissions of just 89 g/km CO
The range includes TDI and TSI power units, DSG transmissions and start/stop systems.
The range of petrol units extends from the 1.2-litre 60 PS to the 1.4 TSI with supercharger and turbocharger; for the first time this engine appears in the estate, creating an Ibiza ST FR.
The Ibiza 1.2 TSI Ecomotive has a turbocharged power unit with 105 PS and start/stop technology fitted as standard.
The Ibiza 1.2 TDI E Ecomotive, also with a start/stop system emits just 89 g/km in all bodyshell variants (figures are currently for left-hand drive variants).
On the outside, the frontal styling has been refreshed. There are three body styles, the three-door Ibiza SC, the five-door Ibiza, and the Ibiza ST estate.
Inside, the SEAT Portable Media System with touchscreen monitor is new to the Ibiza, combining the functions of a navigation system, on-board computer, audio system and hands-free device. While it’s fully integrated into the Ibiza’s on-board electronics, it’s also removable for use on-the-go. The introduction of SEAT’s Portable Media System will come later in 2012.
The UK market introduction of the new Ibiza is scheduled for the spring of 2012. Full details of UK trim levels, prices and technical specifications will be announced in due course.
