The electric Vauxhall Ampera Earth
The electric Vauxhall Ampera Earth is a new entry-level Ampera that costs £29,995 after the Plug-in Car Grant.
The Vauxhall Ampera Earth electric car has standard features such as DAB, 7-inch touch screen display and Bluetooth. The Earth is available to order in four exterior colours and is offered with a black cloth trim.
The Vauxhall Ampera Extended-Range Electric Vehicle line-up also includes Positiv (£32,250) and Electron (£33,995) trims (prices after the £5000 government Plug-in Car Grant).
Thanks to its range-extended electric technology, the Vauxhall Ampera has an official fuel consumption of 235.4mpg . With its electric range of up to 50 miles, the Ampera is ideal for people who commute up to this distance each day but need a car that can occasionally drive for longer distances at weekends. When the battery is depleted, the Ampera can drive for up to 310 miles on its 1.4-litre petrol generator.
Dealer coverage will enable 95 per cent of Ampera owners to reach a specialist retailer within a one-hour drive. In addition retailers will also provide a free collection and delivery service for scheduled servicing, warranty and repair work.
Like all Vauxhall cars, the Ampera is backed by a Lifetime/100,000 mile new vehicle warranty, while the battery system has an eight year/100,000 mile warranty, transferable to subsequent owners.
Through Vauxhall’s partnership with British Gas, customers also benefit from a free home assessment to ensure that their charging capability is maximised.
