You’ll soon be able to choose between two hybrid versions of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, as the S 300 BlueTEC Hybrid L AMG Line joins the existing S 400 Hybrid L.
The difference is that the 400 Hybrid L is a petrol engine, whereas the new S 300 BlueTEC Hybrid is a diesel – making it the first diesel hybrid engine in the segment.
The S 300 BlueTEC Hybrid L AMG Line, with its 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine and 27hp electric motor, is capable of 61.4mpg and 120g/km CO2 – pretty impressive figures for a car of this class.
The S 300 BlueTEC Hybrid L AMG Line will be available from April 2014 production starting at £72,260.
