The all-new Lexus NX premium compact crossover will be available with three powertrains: the NX 300h is a hybrid; the NX 200t has a 2.0-litre petrol turbo; and the NX 200 has a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre petrol engine.
The NX will have either front or all-wheel drive. There will also be an F Sport version.
The NX 300h uses a 2.5-litre Atkinson cycle engine, together with a generator, motor and battery, with a total system output of 195bhp.
The NX is the first model to use a new Lexus 2.0-litre petrol turbo engine, matched to a six-speed automatic transmission; maximum power is 235bhp.
The naturally aspirated 2.0-litre petrol engine is mated to a newly developed, electronically controlled S-CVT/Multidrive sequential shift transmission.
Some NX models will be equipped with Lexus’s new-generation Adaptive Variable Suspension.
The Lexus NX will go on sale in world markets from the second half of 2014.
