First look at Suzuki Vitara

Suzuki Vitara

Suzuki Vitara

This is the first glimpse of the new Suzuki Vitara which will get its maiden public outing at the Paris Motorshow in October.

The new five door car marks the return of the Vitara name which was first used by Suzuki more than 25 years ago, also on a small SUV.

The Vitara is the production model based on the iV-4 concept, which was first exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013. Whilst the design of the production model is slightly less ambitious, key design elements such as the ‘floating’ roof and bold form line running from the front door and over the rear wheel arch remain.

Suzuki has released few details of the new model but we do know that it will go on sale in the UK next spring, and will be available with optional ALLGRIP intelligent four wheel drive‎ with petrol and diesel engines. Suzuki claim that the Vitara will offer class leading fuel economy, and given that the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross features in both the petrol and diesel 4×4 sections of our Guide, we are expecting Suzuki to deliver on its promise.
