Smart Electric Vehicle Infrastructure, Air Quality and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles are some of the topics featuring in the seminar schedule released today for Cenex-LCV2017, the UK’s largest Low Carbon Vehicle Event.
Cenex has today released the seminar programme for Cenex-LCV2017 (www.cenex-lcv.co.uk), the UK’s largest technology-showcasing and networking event for the UK low carbon vehicle community. Senior figures from automakers including Nissan, Toyota, Ford Motor Company and Jaguar Land Rover will join experts from technology developers, Government and the energy sector, to review and discuss the future of low carbon vehicles and supporting energy infrastructure in the UK and Europe.
Over 80 speakers will be sharing expertise at seminars and workshops over the two-day event, taking place 6–7 September 2017, at Millbrook in Bedfordshire. Seminar topics include advances in low emission propulsion technologies, driverless cars, energy efficient motorsport, as well as smart management of electric vehicles charging infrastructure and developments projected for battery technologies. Attendees and media can now review the full seminar programme and speakers’ biographies at https://www.cenex-lcv.co.uk/seminars.
Seminar speakers will join keynote speakers from the Automotive Council, Advanced Propulsion Centre, Innovate UK, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), and the Office for Low Emissions Vehicles (OLEV), in reflecting on a decade of progress in the low carbon vehicle industry and advising on the technologies and partnerships that will steer the future of low carbon and low emission transportation.
The event is expected to attract more than 3,000 attendees, who will attend networking events, seminars and workshops on all aspects of low carbon vehicle development and policy, as well as touring the extensive indoor and outdoor exhibition.
Since the inception of the LCV Event in 2008, Cenex has worked with government agencies and organisations to make the LCV Event a technology showcase for UK capabilities in low carbon vehicles, and to advance the agenda-setting role of the event. With a steady growth of attendees, exhibitors and vehicles on display, the Cenex-LCV Event has truly become the “must-attend” event for the low carbon vehicle community.
Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex, said, “Progress in the low carbon vehicle industry moves fast, and this year’s seminar topics will give LCV attendees a chance to catch up on the latest developments in technology and policy, while networking with innovators, researchers, and manufacturers. I am excited about the diversity of seminar topics and high calibre of speakers we’ve secured for the 10th annual LCV event and look forward to many new announcements at the event.”
