The Audi e-tron SUV is now available to order in the UK today in two forms – the e-tron and the e-tron Launch Edition – priced at £71,490 and £82,240 respectively, excluding the £3,500 plug-in-car grant applicable to both models, with UK deliveries starting in April.
At least 11 more fully electric Audi models will follow between now and 2025.
The new Audi e-tron SUV has a 95kWh battery mounted beneath the passenger compartment, feeding two electric motors – one per axle – which jointly deliver an output of up to 300kW, facilitating 5.7 second 0-62mph acceleration, a top speed of 124mph and a driving range of up to 241 miles based on the WLTP driving cycle.
Charging the e-tron is via the ports positioned on each of its front wings. The sockets can connect the car to a home AC electricity supply via conventional means or using a home wallbox, and to fast DC charging stations at up to 150 kW, the latter enabling recharging to 80% of capacity in as little as 30 minutes.
The e-tron’s conventional door mirrors also make way in the Launch Edition for distinctive camera-based units transmitting images of the driving environment to two OLED interior displays.
