The all-new PEUGEOT 508 HYBRID and 508 SW HYBRID have official WLTP figures of 217mpg and 29g/km CO2 emissions, along with more than 30 miles of electric range.
The 508 HYBRID and 508 SW HYBRID combine the 132kW (180hp) 1.6L PureTech petrol engine with an 80kW (110hp) electric motor on the front axle, for a total power output of 165kW (225hp).
Both plug-in hybrid models use an 11.8kWh battery, with a full recharge taking less than two hours with a 7kW on board charger (optional depending on version). According to official WLTP tests, the 508 HYBRID returns 217mpg, with ultra-low CO2 emissions of just 29g/km, while the 508 SW HYBRID will achieve the same fuel economy with CO2 emissions of 30g/km.
The 508 HYBRID and 508 SW HYBRID will be available with four driving modes:
• ZERO EMISSIONS: 100% electric drive for a maximum range of 33 miles in the 508 HYBRID and 32 miles in the 508 SW HYBRID
• SPORT: Combines the power from both the 132kW 1.6L PureTech petrol engine and the 80kW electric motor for maximum performance
• HYBRID: Switches between electric and engine power for optimised efficiency
• COMFORT: Combines HYBRID mode with a softer suspension configuration for improved ride comfort
Both the all-new 508 HYBRID and 508 SW HYBRID benefit from a BIK rating of only 10% from April 2020.
The all-new 508 HYBRID comes with 487-litres of boot space, with the 508 SW HYBRID providing 530-litres of load capacity.
The all-new 508 HYBRID and all-new 508 SW HYBRID will be available in three trim options: Allure, GT Line and GT.
The all-new 508 HYBRID and 508 SW HYBRID will join PEUGEOT’s growing line-up of plug-in electric hybrid and fully electric models, including the all-new 3008 SUV GT HYBRID4 and the e-208 and e-2008 SUV.
By 2023, PEUGEOT will offer an electrified variant across its entire model line-up.
