NIO EC6 Electric Coupe SUV

The NIO EC6 Electric Coupe SUV has a range of up to 380 miles with the 100 kWh battery pack, based on the (old) NEDC cycle, as well as 0-62mph acceleration in 4.5 seconds. Deliveries start in September 2020 in China.

The NIO EC6 features dual motors in conjunction with an intelligent electric all-wheel-drive system delivering output power of up to 160 kW front and 240 kW rear (544 hp), and peak torque of 725 Nm.

The EC6 is available in three trim levels, the Sport Edition, Performance Edition and the Signature Edition, all with the 70kWh battery pack.

The Sport Edition is equipped with 160kW front and rear dual permanent magnet motors and can accelerate to 62mph in 5.4 seconds. The EC6 is made of high strength aluminium alloy and optional active air suspension.

The EC6 Performance and Signature Editions can be equipped with a standard 70kWh battery pack which enables the EC6 to reach an NEDC range of 273 miles, or an optional 100kWh battery pack to reach an NEDC range of up to 380 miles.

The EC6 has lightweight design and drag coefficient of only 0.26, and a panoramic moonroof maximises natural light in the cabin. The laminated glass insulates against 83% of heat and 99.9% of UV rays.

In 2016, NIO launched the EP9, one of the world’s fastest electric vehicles, which broke lap records and the world’s autonomous driving records in global-famous tracks like the Nürburgring Nordschleife. In 2017, NIO unveiled the vision car EVE. 

NIO started the deliveries of the ES8, a 7-seater high-performance premium electric SUV, in China in June 2018.

NIO officially launched the ES6, a 5-seater high-performance premium electric SUV, in December 2018, and began the first deliveries of the ES6 in June 2019.

In December 2019, NIO officially launched the EC6, an electric Coupe SUV, and the all-new ES8, an electric flagship SUV.
