CUPRA has revealed two new electric cars – the CUPRA Tavascan and CUPRA UrbanRebel – along with the CUPRA Terramar, a plug-in hybrid SUV.
The front-wheel drive CUPRA UrbanRebel urban electric car will go on sale in 2025. It will feature a 226PS (166kW) electric motor which will deliver a 0-62mph acceleration time of 6.9 seconds, along with a range of up to 273 miles.
The new all-electric five-door crossover coupe CUPRA Tavascan will go on sale in 2024, with a 77kWh lithium-ion battery pack giving a driving range of up to 280 miles.
The CUPRA Terramar is a plug-in hybrid SUV with an electric range of around 62 miles and it will be on sale in 2024. The brand already has a plug-in hybrid SUV, the Formentor, but CUPRA describes this as an ‘SUV Coupe’.
In 2022 CUPRA will expand the range of the Born, the brand’s first 100% electric vehicle, with models with different battery capacities, as well as a more powerful e-Boost version.
