Jonny Sadler, Strategic Decarbonisation Manager at Electricity North West, says: “Sales of new diesel and petrol cars and vans will be banned in the UK from 2030 and businesses in the North West need to be urgently exploring the opportunity to transform their fleets and car schemes through electrification.

“The benefits are easy to understand. Electric vehicles mean lower emissions and support firms’ Net Zero strategies. Recharging an electric vehicle is cheaper than filling up on petrol or diesel, especially now, with fuel prices reaching record highs during June. There are big financial savings to be made for both companies and employees.

“The Electric Vehicles Experience is a great opportunity for businesses to try electric vehicles for themselves, learn how they can make rapid progress on their journey to Net Zero and get practical answers from our experts. We will also be tackling misconceptions and busting the ‘urban myths’ that still exist in this area.”
