Hyundai IONIQ 6

Hyundai IONIQ 6 First Edition pricing and specification

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 First Edition, with dual electric motors delivering all-wheel drive and 325PS, will be priced at £54,995.

The First Edition has a range of up to 320 miles on a single charge (WLTP combined), helped by an ultra-low drag coefficient of just 0.21, assisted by its low front surface, active air front flaps and wheel gap reducers.

The IONIQ 6 is the second Hyundai model to be built on the group’s E-GMP platform, and the curvy styling is the direct opposite to the angular lines of the IONIQ 5.

The First Edition uses a 77.4 kWh battery with an all-wheel drive powertrain to provide 325PS of power and 605 Nm of torque. The E-GMP platform’s 800v charging system with 350kW ultra-rapid charger compatibility also includes a battery heating system, assuring optimised charge times in all conditions.

The IONIQ 6 also has a heat pump and it features vehicle to load (V2L), via a plug socket in the car’s interior and via its exterior charging socket, which allows you to power electrical items such as laptops or camping equipment.

Customers will also be able to enjoy a free one-year subscription to IONITY Premium package, through Hyundai’s pan-European integrated public charging service Charge myHyundai. Charge myHyundai offers access to over 400,000 charging points across Europe, including AC and DC connectors.

The IONIQ 6’s interior features sustainable materials and colours. Eco-process leather and recycled PET fabric is used in the seats, bio-TPO skin for dashboard finishes, bio-PET fabric used in the headliner and floor mats made from ECONYL, a regenerated nylon yarn that can be used to make sustainable products. There’s a 401-litre boot and a 14.5-litre front trunk (‘frunk’).

Four exterior body colours are available: Biophilic Blue Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, Nocturne Grey Metallic and Gravity Gold Matte.

The IONIQ 6 will also be available in two other trim levels: Premium and Ultimate. Pricing and specification will be announced soon.
