Abarth has gone electric with its new 500e.
The new Abarth 500e has a 42kWh battery and a 155PS electric motor, delivering a 0-62mph acceleration time of seven seconds.
Three driving modes are available: Turismo, Scorpion Street and Scorpion Track.
The Abarth 500e can rapid charge at up to 85kW, which could deliver 25 miles of range in five minutes; an 80% charge could be achieved in 35 minutes.
Its electric architecture has improved weight distribution, better torque, and a wider wheelbase.
The new Abarth 500e also offers the ‘Sound Generator’ feature, which reproduces the sound of the Abarth petrol engine.
The Abarth 500e Scorpionissima is the limited launch edition, available in both hatchback and convertible versions and produced in 1,949 units only, a number that pays homage to the brand’s birth year.
