Vauxhall Frontera Electric to be available with two battery options

The new Vauxhall Frontera Electric will be available with up to 186 or 248 miles of range, and will even have the option of a seven-seater in the future.

Measuring 4,380mm in length, the Frontera sits between the Mokka (4,151mm) and All-New Grandland (4,650mm) in Vauxhall’s SUV line-up and comes in three trim levels – Design, GS and Ultimate.

Aimed at families, the Frontera has a boot that’s over 450 litres in size, or 1,600 litres with the rear seats folded. Although the new Frontera isn’t a proper off-roader like the last Frontera, it can be ordered with optional roof rails and a roof tent with ladder.

The Frontera Electric is based on the new ‘Smart Car’ BEV-native platform – a development from the current e-CMP platform – and features a 113hp electric motor. It will offer a range of more than 186 miles with 100kW charging capability as standard, while the long range version will be able to travel up to around 248 miles.

With the arrival of Frontera Electric and the All-New Grandland Electric, Vauxhall will offer a fully electric version of every car and van model by the end of this year.
