The Electric Dacia Spring Cargo Van is now available, priced from £14,995 + VAT, making it the UK’s most affordable compact electric van. This becomes even more cost effective on Business Contract Hire, at just £149 + VAT (with the UK Plug in Van Grant (PiVG) of £2,500 applied, based on 10,000 miles per year, with an advance rental of £894.00, followed by 35 monthly rentals of £149.00).
The Dacia Spring Cargo Van is based on Britain’s most affordable new electric car, the Dacia Spring, with the rear seats removed and a mesh bulkhead fitted.
The Spring Cargo is just 3.7m long with a turning radius of just 4.8m, so it’s ideal for city driving. It offers a payload of 370 kg with 1,085 litres of load space that’s accessed from the rear doors or tailgate.
Around town, the 26.8 kWh battery offers up to 140 miles of range based on the WLTP combined cycle, or 186 miles based on the WLTP urban cycle. Charging from 20% to 80% takes 45 minutes.
The Spring Cargo comes with a 65 bhp electric motor and Polar White paint. Standard specification includes a 10-inch display with Media Nav Live and Smartphone replication, plus Bluetooth, a USB port, cruise control, manual air conditioning, electric front windows, remote central locking, front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera. If the driver needs to power any 240V accessories while at work, the Spring Cargo has Bi-directional, vehicle to load (V2L) capability.
