Audi Q6 e-tron offroad concept

The Audi Q6 e-tron offroad concept features newly designed portal axles which increase torque at the wheel by 50 percent and allow the EV to climb gradients up to 45 degrees.

The Q6 e-tron offroad concept also has ride height increased by 160 mm and a 250 mm wider track. Two electric motors provide a combined power output of 380 kW.

The Q6 e-tron offroad concept has four portal axles integrated into the wheel hub assemblies at the front and rear axles. The portal axles increase the combined torque at all wheels (10-second peak) to 13,400 Nm (9,883 lb ft), a total increase of 4,400 Nm (3,245 lb ft).

The Audi Q6 e-tron serves as the basis for the concept car and is the first production model built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE).
