The new, fully electric Volvo ES90 is a combination of a saloon, fastback, and an SUV, according to the company.
The Volvo ES90 has a hatchback, a 424-litre boot (733 litres with the rear seats folded) and a 22-litre frunk for storing charging cables, and lots of legroom for rear passengers.
The ES90’s new 800-volt technology makes its debut in the ES90, helping to unlock faster charging, a better overall performance and more efficiency. The result is a car that goes further and charges faster than any electric Volvo before. The ES90 can add 186 miles of range in just 10 minutes at 350kW fast charging stations and offers a driving range of up to 434 miles for all-wheel-drive variants with twin motors and a 106kWh battery. This long driving range is helped by a low drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.25.
A panoramic roof includes the option of an electrochromic version, allowing the adjustment of the transparency of the glass at the touch of a button.
The ES90 features a new-generation infotainment system with Google built-in, which includes services such as Google Maps, Google Assistant and more apps on Google Play.
It also has active safety systems powered by an advanced array of sensors, including one lidar, five radars, seven cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors. This sensor set enables vision beyond human range to help avoid collisions and hazards on the road.
The new Volvo ES90 is available for order now in the United Kingdom and in Europe.
