Jeep Compass now available with an electric powertrain, 4×4 to follow

The Jeep Compass C-SUV is now available with a front-wheel drive electric powertrain, with a range of up to 310 miles and prices starting from £39,200 for the First Edition model.

The latest evolution of the Compass, which has enjoyed over 2.5 million sales worldwide since its debut in 2006, introduces a new design and, at 4.55m long, offers more space, with a 550-litre boot. The C-SUV segment is the most competitive in Europe, accounting for almost a quarter of the total market.

The Compass First Edition with a fully electric powertrain features a 74kWh battery coupled with an electric motor that delivers 213hp and 345Nm of torque, and 160kW DC charging delivering a 30 minute 20%-80% recharge time. It also features a heat pump as standard.

In addition to the fully electric variant, there’s an e-Hybrid and a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 51-mile electric-only range.

An additional two electric variants are comprised of a two-wheel drive 230hp variant with up to 402 miles of range and a four-wheel drive variant that offers all the off-road capabilities expected of a Jeep together with an electric powertrain capable of delivering up to 372 miles on a single charge.

The new Compass has ground clearance of up to 200mm, approach angle of 20 degrees, breakover angle of 15 degrees and departure angle of 26 degrees and  water fording depth up to 470mm. Selec-terrain is standard across all versions, allowing drivers to switch between modes tailored for specific driving conditions.

The Compass is available in a choice of six colours. As standard, Compass First Edition will be available in Hawaii (brilliant green) with Pacific (blue), Antarctica (white), Amazonia (green with brown hues), Yosemite (grey), and Vulcano (black) are also available as an option. The new Compass is complemented by a 360-degree protective material that shields the lower vehicle from scratches – whether in the city or on adventurous outings. The fully electric variant is fitted with 20-inch alloys painted black with a machine-faced finish.

The new Jeep Compass First Edition will open for ordering in Q3 2025.
