Leapmotor B10 electric C-segment SUV

The Leapmotor B10 is a compact C-segment SUV priced at £29,995 for retail buyers, after Leapmotor’s own £1,500 grant, or £31,495 for company car buyers.

The B10 features a 67.1kWh battery that offers a WLTP range of up to 270 miles and powers a 218hp rear-mounted motor that delivers a 0-62mph time of 8.0 seconds, and a 106 mph top speed.

The B10’s battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes with its maximum DC charging speed of 168kW.

The B10 has been developed using Leapmotor’s Cell-to-Chassis technology which integrates the 67.1kWh battery into the structure of the vehicle, resulting in reduced weight and a 13% increase in energy density, meaning more power in less space and extra room for passengers. Its oil-cooled electric drive system is lighter, more efficient and smoother.

Leapmotor’s EV architecture allows for V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) connection, which offers users the ability to charge items of electrical equipment.

The B10 also has an efficient heat pump, which keeps the cabin warm by using heat from the battery that would otherwise be wasted.

Measuring 4,515mm in length, the B10 has a total boot volume of 430 litres that expands to 1,700 litres with the seats folded, with a 25-litre front cabin storage box, or frunk.

The B10 is launching with Leapmotor’s ‘one version’ line-up; every B10 gets 18-inch alloy wheels, panoramic roof, heated, ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats (4-way for the passenger and 6-way for the driver), automatic air-conditioning, automatic LED headlights and tail-lights, and electrically operated heated and folding exterior mirrors.

Leapmotor, a leading Chinese company in the technology field, is part of Stellantis – one of the largest automotive brands in the world, Led by 51% stakeholder Stellantis, with 14 international brands and a global presence in over 170 countries, Leapmotor UK retailers are all part of the existing Stellantis network.

Leapmotor has so far offered two vehicles – the C10 SUV and T03 city car – with five more models set to join the line-up over the next few years, starting with the B10 C-SUV.
