The successor to the Volkswagen ID.3 is called the ID.3 Neo and it will celebrate its world premiere in mid-April.
There will be a number of updates for the ID.3 Neo, as well as for the ID.4, ID.5 and ID.7, and new ID. models: ID. Polo, ID. Polo GTI and ID. Cross.
ID.4 and ID.5 Pure entry-level models will be more efficient and will have greater range; with a new 58 kWh (net) lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) high-voltage battery, this results in an increase of up to around 25 miles for the ID.4.
New software includes traffic light detection and One Pedal Driving; the ID.4, ID.5 and ID.7 are already available to order as the first models equipped with this software, and will also feature the new Innovision infotainment system which integrates a new app store.
All new ID. models also now feature a Vehicle-to-Load function, allowing them to supply power to external electrical devices. This is possible using a 230 V socket in the interior and, with a separate adapter, also via the mode 3 connection of the charging socket.
The new Volkswagen electric models in the small and compact vehicle segments – ID. Polo, ID. Polo GTI, ID. Cross – will also soon be launched on the market with these new features.
All future ID. models have buttons on the steering wheel that improve intuitive operation of car controls.
A digital key is now also available as an option for all models. This enables access to the vehicle using a mobile device (smartphone, smartwatch) and supplements the traditional vehicle key.
