Order books are open for the new Alpine A390 electric sport fastback, with prices starting from £61,390 OTR and the first customer deliveries expected in the summer.
The A390 is Alpine’s second electric model after the multi-award-winning A290, the 2025 Car of the Year-winning hot hatch and the first five-seat model in the brand’s “Dream Garage” line-up. Alpine has positioned the A390 as a five-door fastback with sports-car dynamics and family practicality, including a 532-litre boot.
Three versions are offered. The GT and the Premiere Edition (the latter limited to 390 units) both produce 400PS and dispatch 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds. The flagship GTS produces 470PS and 824Nm, with 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds. All three use Alpine’s new Active Torque Vectoring system, made possible by two independent motors on the rear axle (the GTS gets a third motor up front for all-wheel drive). Alpine says it benchmarked the A390’s handling directly against the A110 sports car.
Power comes from an 89kWh battery, with up to 345 miles WLTP in the GT and Premiere Edition, falling to 312 miles in the GTS. DC charging is supported at up to 190kW for a 15% to 80% top-up in around 25 minutes. An 11kW AC bidirectional charger is standard, with a 22kW unit optional (standard on the Premiere Edition).
Inside, the new feel@one cockpit pairs a 12.3-inch driver display with a 12-inch central screen, with Google built-in services, an EV route planner and over-the-air updates. A Devialet audio system is fitted as standard. The Premiere Edition adds black matte 20-inch Atelier wheels, a tricolore French flag on the C-pillar, Sabelt seats with massage and the full driver-assist pack.
Six exterior colours are available, including the matte Gris Tonnerre Atelier finish exclusive to GT and GTS. A contrasting black roof is a £1,000 option.
