Škoda Epiq

Škoda Epiq priced from £24,950 – most affordable Škoda EV ever

Škoda has confirmed UK pricing for its new all-electric Epiq, with the range starting from £24,950 OTR – making it the most affordable fully electric Škoda ever, and at price parity with its petrol counterpart, the Kamiq.

The Epiq is a compact city SUV that sits below the Elroq in Škoda’s electric range. It’s the brand’s first model on the Volkswagen Group’s new MEB+ platform and Škoda’s first electric car with front-wheel drive – the platform combines reduced weight with higher efficiency than the previous MEB.

Two battery sizes are offered. The Epiq 40 uses a 37kWh usable LFP battery and is expected to deliver around 190 miles WLTP, while the Epiq 55 uses a 52kWh NMC battery for up to 272 miles WLTP. The Epiq 55 charges at up to 105kW DC, and both versions can do 10–80% in under 25 minutes. The Epiq 40 produces 135PS and the Epiq 55 211PS.

Bidirectional charging is supported, allowing energy to be exported externally or, depending on infrastructure, fed back to a household or the grid. One-pedal driving in B mode is standard, with switchable regeneration intensity.

The Epiq’s design is defined by a glossy black Tech-Deck Face, a new T-shaped light signature that will spread across future Škoda SUVs, and a drag coefficient of 0.275. Practicality is one of the strong points: a 475-litre boot is complemented by a 25-litre frunk, and the interior follows the Modern Solid design philosophy with a 13-inch infotainment screen and Škoda’s familiar “Simply Clever” storage details.

The UK line-up is straightforward: SE L and Edition trims plus a limited First Edition. SE L gets 18-inch alloys, LED lighting, a five-inch digital cockpit, wireless Smartlink, rear parking sensors, one-zone climate and adaptive cruise as standard. Edition adds electric folding mirrors, satellite navigation, a rear-view camera with front sensors, heated seats and steering wheel, two-zone climate, wireless charging with active cooling, Travel Assist Plus and bi-directional charging hardware.

The First Edition is offered only with the 55 battery and adds 20-inch alloys, Navajo Orange exterior accents, orange seatbelts and stitching, a black headlining and the Convenience and Tech packages as standard. Seven airbags including a centre airbag are fitted across the range, along with Front, Side and Lane Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition.
