One of the most common reasons given for all-male or male-dominated conference panels is, “We couldn’t find any women speakers.”
Global Women in EV Day® is helping to change that.
The Global Women in EV Speaker Directory is a free resource designed to connect conference organisers, event producers, journalists, podcast hosts and industry leaders with women working across EV, energy and clean transport.
Featuring more than 50 women from across the sector – from engineers and fleet specialists to energy experts, charging professionals, policymakers and business leaders – the Directory aims to make it easier than ever to identify and engage diverse voices.
Since launching in July, the Directory is already doing exactly what it was created to do: connecting talented women across the sector with opportunities to speak, contribute and be heard.
Gill Nowell, Founder of Global Women in EV Day®, said:
“Visibility creates opportunity. We know there are exceptional women working right across our industry, but too often they’re overlooked simply because organisers don’t know where to find them. The Speaker Directory provides a practical solution, helping connect brilliant women with the opportunities they deserve, while making it easier for event organisers and media to bring a wider range of voices into the conversation.”
The initiative forms part of the wider Global Women in EV Day® movement, which works year-round to create greater visibility, opportunity and representation for women across EV, energy and clean transport.
