
Electric cars arrived with a simple promise: far fewer moving parts, so far less to go wrong. No oil changes, no timing belts, no exhaust, no clutch. For the first two or three years that promise largely holds, and many owners barely visit a workshop beyond a tyre check. But “fewer wear parts” is not the same as “no wear parts”.
