Independent, Expert EV Reviews & Advice Since 2006
FCL 23 000 GWM ORA Robert Llewellyn low res

If you’re thinking about buying an electric car, be warned: everything is about to change. The car brands that you considered for your last petrol or diesel car are probably not the car brands that you’ll need to consider for your next electric car.

The new electric vehicle contender brands were at Fully Charged LIVE South 2023, and many car buyers – along with many established European car makers – may be surprised to see that it’s companies from China that are leading the charge… and in more bad news for the UK car industry, no cars made in the UK were on show, with the exception of the Munro MK_1, from Scotland, and the Morris J E van (neither of which are really cars, and neither are in full production yet).

So despite the UK government talking about the UK being a leader in EVs, the reality is that countries such as China, South Korea and America have been putting massive investment into electric vehicles and batteries for years, with the results on show at Fully Charged LIVE.

Of course Fully Charged LIVE South 2023 didn’t just have the latest EVs on display and available for test drives, but it showcased ‘everything electric’, including EV charging, home energy solutions, and of course more than 50 live on-stage sessions with energy and transport experts hosted by Fully Charged presenters Robert Llewellyn, Jack Scarlett, Helen Czerski, Imogen Pierce and Dan Caesar.

If you missed Fully Charged LIVE South, don’t worry, Fully Charged LIVE is coming to the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate on 19th, 20th & 21st May 2023 – book now.

Check out these NEW electric cars and other highlights at Fully Charged LIVE South 2023:
