If you want a new electric car but don’t want the long-term commitment of a lease – or the expense of an outright purchase – then an EV subscription service might be the solution.
Green Car Guide has been ‘road testing’ Onto’s EV subscription service. We’ve been driving a Peugeot e-2008, which is fun but also practical. The all-inclusive EV subscription service experience was hassle-free, and a great way to drive a new EV cost-effectively and without a wait.
We thought we’d find out more about EV subscriptions, so here are ten interesting facts about Onto’s service, and who uses it:
Onto currently offers 23 different electric car models. Subscribers get 750 monthly miles as standard (which can be increased), and prices start from £489 per month. When considering the total cost of ownership, Onto subscriptions are usually more cost effective than equivalent 24 month leases when factoring in insurance, maintenance, servicing, and charging. There’s the added benefit of no initial deposit and the flexibility of just a one-month commitment.
