Top 10 Electric Cars at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show

The 2019 Geneva Motor Show was the first ever motorshow where the most newsworthy cars were all electric. There were lots of EVs on show, some were production-ready, but some seemed to be last minute attempts to have an EV concept on display, with virtually no technical details confirmed. So here are our top 10 EVs at Geneva which surely prove that the future is electric.

1. VOLKSWAGEN ID. BUGGY

The Volkswagen ID. BUGGY concept car – an all-electric dune buggy – just looks like so much fun. It has rear-wheel drive, although an additional electric motor could be added in the front axle to provide all-wheel drive. Find out more

The Honda e Prototype looks great, it’s all-electric, and it’s rear-wheel drive. It only has an electric driving range of around 124 miles, but Honda claims that this is sufficient for a city car. Find out more

3. AUDI Q4 E-TRON CONCEPT

The Audi Q4 e-tron concept is a compact four-door SUV with two electric motors and 225 kW of system power along with quattro all-wheel drive, with a range of over 279 miles. Find out more

Audi launched new petrol-electric plug-in hybrid versions of the A6, A7 Sportback, A8 and Q5 model lines at the Geneva Motor Show, to be badged as TFSI e models. All variants will have an electric range of more than 25 miles according to WLTP, and all models are due during 2019. Find out more

Okay, so this may not be the most affordable, high volume electric car, but it should wake people up to the fact that EVs don’t drive like milk floats: the Pininfarina Battista is a pure-electric luxury hyper GT combining 1,900hp, 0-62mph in 1.9 seconds, zero emissions and a 280 mile range.
