AION was founded in 2017 as an electrified brand of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC), one of China’s largest automakers, founded in 1997. AION Auto UK has been formed as a joint venture between GAC and Jameel Motors, an independent international automotive distributor.
