Jaguar is in the middle of a fundamental brand reinvention. The I-PACE – Jaguar’s first electric SUV and one of the earliest credible Tesla rivals when it launched in 2018 – went out of production in 2024. The brand then took a deliberate pause from new launches while it repositioned as an ultra-luxury electric-only marque, previewed by the Type 00 concept revealed at Miami Art Week in late 2024. The first production car under the new strategy, a four-door GT, is expected to reach customers from late 2026. Until then, the brand has no new model on sale in the UK. Parent company JLR has committed Jaguar to selling only electric cars from launch, at prices significantly above the outgoing I-PACE.
