KGM (KG Mobility) is the new identity of South Korean manufacturer SsangYong, which was acquired out of administration by Korean steel and chemicals group KG Group in 2022 and rebranded in 2023. The UK line-up is led by the Torres EVX electric SUV – KGM’s most important electric launch and a value-focused alternative to mainstream family EVs – alongside the Korando e-Motion. Petrol and diesel versions of the Korando, Rexton and Musso pick-up continue, and a new electric Musso EV pick-up is now on sale in the UK. KGM retains SsangYong’s heritage as a 4×4 and pick-up specialist, and the brand continues to be sold through the established former SsangYong UK dealer network. Buyers may still encounter the SsangYong name on older models in the used market.
