Kia is in the middle of one of the most consistent EV product rollouts in the industry. The EV6 – winner of multiple European Car of the Year awards – and the seven-seat EV9 SUV established the brand’s 800V E-GMP credentials, and have since been joined by the EV3 and EV5 mid-size SUVs and the EV4 saloon and hatchback. The Niro EV and Niro Hybrid continue at the more affordable end of the range, alongside plug-in hybrid Niro, Sportage and Sorento. Kia’s sister brand Hyundai shares the same underlying EV platform but takes a different design direction. The original Soul EV and first-generation e-Niro mentioned in older Kia coverage have both been superseded.
