Land Rover’s first all-electric model – the Range Rover Electric – is on its way to customers in 2026, after a development programme that drew more than 60,000 names onto a waiting list. It will be followed by an electric Range Rover Sport, an electric Range Rover Velar on the new EMA platform, and an electric Defender. In the meantime, the brand offers an extensive plug-in hybrid range: the Range Rover P460e and P550e, Range Rover Sport P460e, Range Rover Velar PHEV, Defender 110 P425e, Discovery Sport P300e and Range Rover Evoque P300e. The flagship Defender Octa, launched in 2024, is petrol-only and represents Land Rover’s last new combustion-engine performance car. Parent JLR has committed to electric versions of all its luxury brands by 2030.
