Leapmotor reaches UK buyers through one of the most unusual distribution arrangements in the industry. The Chinese EV maker, founded in 2015, is sold in Europe through Leapmotor International – a joint venture in which Stellantis owns 51%. That means Leapmotor cars are imported, marketed and serviced through Stellantis’s existing retail network, alongside Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat dealers. The UK line-up currently includes the T03 city EV – one of the cheapest electric cars on UK sale – the C10 family SUV, and the larger C10 REEV range-extender hybrid that uses a petrol engine as a generator. The B10 mid-size SUV is also now on sale in the UK. The Stellantis route gives Leapmotor immediate national service coverage that other Chinese new entrants are still building.
