The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV was one of the first plug-in hybrids, and over the years it has been updated to become an excellent all-round car, which can also be very efficient. We ran a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV long term test car in 2016, and most recently we’ve tested the latest 2019 Outlander PHEV model. Unfortunately Mitsubishi is withdrawing from sales in Europe, and despite the efficient Outlander PHEV, ironically a key reason for this is the challenge of meeting European emissions targets.
