Porsche’s electric range is led by the Taycan saloon, Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo — comprehensively refreshed in 2024 with substantially increased range and faster charging. The Macan Electric, launched in 2024, is Porsche’s second EV and the first to use the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) developed jointly with Audi, which underpins the Audi Q6 e-tron. An electric Cayenne is now on sale, sold alongside petrol, V8 and plug-in hybrid versions of the same model. The 911, Panamera and the existing combustion Cayenne continue with petrol, plug-in hybrid and (in the case of the 911) hybrid GTS powertrains. Porsche has signalled that the next-generation 718 Boxster and Cayman will both move to electric power, marking the end of mid-engined Porsche sports cars with combustion engines.
