Renault

Renault is in the middle of one of the most ambitious EV product renewals of any legacy European brand. The Renault 5 E-Tech – a fresh take on the 1970s original – has become the brand’s lead small EV and was named second in Green Car Guide’s 2025 EVs of the Year. Above it sit the Megane E-Tech and Scenic E-Tech, both built on Renault’s AmpR Medium platform. The Renault 4 E-Tech adds a compact crossover, and the new-generation Twingo will follow at the bottom of the range. Renault Group’s Ampere EV division also underpins Alpine and Nissan’s third-generation Leaf. The ZOE, Kangoo Z.E., Fluence Z.E. and Twizy that dominated Renault’s earlier electric coverage are no longer on sale.
