Volkswagen’s ID. family is now a full electric line-up rather than the early-stage range it was at launch. The ID.3 hatchback has been refreshed; the ID.4 and ID.5 cover compact SUV and coupe-SUV territory; the ID.7 saloon and ID.7 Tourer take the brand into executive segments; and the ID. Buzz – including the long-wheelbase seven-seater and the GTX performance version – has revived the camper-van icon as a modern electric MPV. VW’s plug-in hybrid eHybrid range covers the Golf, Tiguan and Passat, while mild-hybrid eTSI versions sit lower down. Behind the scenes, the MEB platform that underpins the ID. family is shared with Audi, Cupra, Skoda and Ford’s newest European EVs.
