The electric Dacia Spring is now available from just £12,240, and despite the lower price, it’s even received a number of updates.
Dacia has applied its own Electric Car Grant, which discounts the EV by £3,750, whether you’re buying or financing the car. The revised price confirms the Dacia Spring as the UK’s most affordable new electric car.
For 2026 the Dacia Spring has a refreshed chassis, retuned suspension and upgraded braking system. Two new, more powerful electric motors provide improved acceleration, while a new 24.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery delivers a WLTP driving range of up to 140 miles. The Spring can also now DC charge at up to 40 kW, up from 35 kW of the previous model, allowing a 20%-80% charge to be complete in 29 minutes.
A 7-inch digital driver display is now standard across the range, with Extreme versions featuring a larger 10.1-inch multimedia display with wireless smartphone connectivity.
The Dacia Spring is available in two trim levels, Expression Electric 70 priced at £15,990 excluding Dacia’s Electric Car Grant, and the Spring Extreme Electric 100 for £16,990, excluding Dacia’s Electric Car Grant.
The Expression Electric 70 features the new 70 hp electric motor, with standard equipment including air conditioning, cruise control with speed limiter, electric front windows, rear parking sensors, rear wash-wipe, central locking, fully digital instrument display, and Dacia’s Media Control with steering wheel-mounted controls.
The Spring Extreme Electric 100 gains the more powerful 100 hp motor and copper-accented styling, electric rear windows, heated and electronically-adjustable door mirrors, front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera, 10.1-inch Media Nav Live with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, additional USB connectivity and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality.
Six colours are available: Polar White, Khaki, Lightning Grey, Brick Red, Stonewash Blue and, new for 2026, Seafoam.
The updated Dacia Spring is available to order now, with first deliveries in spring 2026.
