The Honda Super-N electric city car will be on sale in the UK from July and will feature a seven-speed simulated transmission and a starting price of less than £20,000.
The Super-N will also feature a simulated engine sound, BOOST Mode and uprated suspension and chassis tuned by Honda engineers, and it will deliver 199 miles of all-electric city range.
Engineered on the lightweight platform of the N Series ‘Kei’ car range sold in Japan, the Super-N takes its inspiration from the legendary 1980’s City Turbo II.
The Super-N will be one of the lightest EVs in Europe, and ‘BOOST Mode’ will increase the power output of the car’s compact e-Axle from 47kW to 70kW. This will be combined with a unique simulated seven-speed transmission and an Active Sound Control system that generates an engaging engine sound.
The Honda Super-N – which effectively replaces the Honda e – will have a combined range of 128 miles and a city-mode driving range of 199 miles.
