Volkswagen ID. Polo

Volkswagen ID. Polo prices start from £23,945

Prices for the new Volkswagen ID. Polo will start from £23,945 for the Life and Style models, with the limited-edition launch models starting from £25,555.

Two limited-edition launch models are available to order in the UK: the ID. Polo Life Launch Edition and ID. Polo Style Launch Edition, from £25,555, with a 52 kWh battery and 211 PS of power. All 52 kWh 211 PS variants are eligible for the Government’s £1,500 Electric Car Grant. The Life Launch Edition is also available with a 37 kWh battery and 135 PS.

These cars come with enhanced features including – for Life models – two-zone air conditioning, heated front seats and heated multi-function steering wheel. Additional features in the Style Launch Edition include a panoramic glass roof, massage front seats, Area View camera, Travel Assist, Park Assist Pro and rear privacy glass.

The series-production variants are scheduled to go on sale in September – without the enhanced specification but with slightly lower prices. ID. Polo Life highlights will include parking sensors, driving mode selection, rear-view camera, 12.9-inch infotainment screen, wireless phone charging with AppConnect and a height-adjustable boot floor.

ID. Polo Style standard equipment will include IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, illuminated logos and front light bar, interior ambient lighting with ID.Light, 18-inch alloy wheels, sports comfort seats in the front and ‘play’ and ‘pause’ accelerator and brake pedals.

The ID. Polo offers a WLTP combined range of up to 281 miles, with DC rapid charging of 90 kW or 105 kW available as standard; a 10% to 80% charge should take around 24 minutes. Vehicle-to-load power capability is available as an option.

Volkswagen ID. models have until now featured either rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive but the ID. Polo has a front-wheel drive electric layout. It seats five people and offers up to 441 litres of luggage capacity – more than both the current Volkswagen ID.3 and Golf – or 1,240 litres of luggage space with the rear seats folded down. The new platform allows for a flat floor and efficient packaging, delivering noticeably more interior space than comparable combustion-engine models.

The ID. Polo interior includes physical controls and the ability to convert the car’s modern infotainment screen and digital cockpit to something reminiscent of the original Golf.
